Emma Ryan

Emma started at Ferguson back in January 2002, working in her holidays as a part-time paralegal whilst studying Geography at Sheffield University.

Following graduation she joined the firm full-time in October 2004 and attended night-school studying for her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course. She graduated with a law degree from the College of Law in June 2008 and commenced her training contract with the firm in July 2008.

Emma’s predominant work during her paralegal years and early part of her training contract was assisting Charles Ferguson with a range of employment law matters and number of high profiled cases.

The remainder of her training contract has been within the firm’s corporate and business advice department. During her time there, Emma spent over a year working for an AIM listed Oil and Gas Company based in Kazakhstan and she assisted in the set up of a number of smaller investment funds.

Emma qualified as a solicitor on 1st April 2010 and continues to work within the firm’s corporate and business advice department.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys travelling and is an avid snowboarder.  She has also recently taken up kickboxing.
